I design and deploy custom field data collection systems using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, and Arcade. These tools help streamline field reporting, improve data quality, and give managers quick access to near real-time information for oversight and regulatory reporting.
Using ArcGIS Online and Arcade, I developed a customized maintenance and asset management application for a client operating a stand-alone wastewater network. The system includes a mobile inspection questionnaire used by field staff to document maintenance activities and asset conditions directly from the field. Built within ArcGIS Field Maps, the form captures structured inspection data and standardizes reporting across the network. Arcade expressions were used to control form logic, automate attribute calculations, and enforce data entry requirements. The resulting workflow significantly streamlined regulatory reporting and ensured that inspection records met state and federal compliance standards.
To track the downstream progression of water releases from Lake Cachuma along the Santa Ynez River, I created and maintain an online reporting database accessible through ArcGIS Online. The system allows field staff to collect georeferenced observations, upload photos, and document flow conditions in real time using a mobile Field Maps application. A customized form was designed to standardize data entry and simplify photo attachments from mobile devices. Uploaded observations are immediately available through the online web map application and database, enabling decision-makers to monitor release progression and respond quickly to changing conditions.
